The gantry crane for shield tunnelling is purpose-designed for metro and tunnel construction using tunnel boring machines (TBMs). It handles segment lifting, material supply, and TBM support operations, serving as critical ancillary equipment in shield tunnelling. It is suitable for metro, railway, and road tunnel construction sites.


The crane adopts a double-girder or A-type configuration with a dedicated spreader for tunnel segment handling. The design is compact with high lifting height and a high duty cycle, accommodating the frequent relocation demands of tunnel construction sites. Crane travel is driven by variable-frequency drives for precise positioning. Radio remote control is available, allowing ground-level operators to manage all crane movements safely.
