We have designed and customized a batch of automated mold handling cranes for a renowned domestic automobile manufacturer, which are used in their stamping workshop. These cranes are equipped with automatic positioning, WCS management, zone protection, and safe obstacle avoidance. With the aid of specialized spreaders, they enable automated transfer and management in the mold workshop. The crane offers three operation modes: control room, mobile pendant, and remote controller, ensuring safety, convenience, and efficiency. The specialized spreader can extend along X and Y axes and rotate along the Z axis, and combined with the crane’s traveling mechanism, it achieves 6-axis bidirectional trajectory movement, making it adaptable to molds of various specifications. The electrical control system incorporates advanced features such as laser anti-collision protection, light curtain zone protection, video monitoring, and 3D vision digital twin, providing real-time protection for the crane’s safe operation.
